Back To the Future

It is hard to imagine anyone saw this coming—the resurrection of a long dormant car being brought back in a way that will make it the most unique vehicle of its kind on the road. This is exactly what is being done with the 2023 Meyers Manx 2.0 Electric beach buggy.

Trousdale Ventures, which acquired the Meyers Manx brand just before the Manx creator Bruce Meyers passed away in 2021, recently pulled the sheet off the all-new, all-electric Meyers Manx at a casual-but-posh event in Malibu. Why Malibu? Where else to reveal the perfect car for cruising Pacific Coast Highway.

Designed by Freeman Thomas, who also takes on the role of CEO and COO of the new Meyers Manx, brings a rich background of having been on the design team for the Porsche 959, Audi TT, the Volkswagen New Beetle, the Chrysler 300 and many more.

This is what we know about the Meyer Manx 2.0 Electric.

The original Manx could take you higher

When Bruce Meyers dreamt up the Manx in his Newport Beach, California, garage in 1964, he could not have predicted the impact it would have on the pure fun of driving. There have been many vehicles over the years that are a kick to drive, including Manx imitators. The original Meyers Manx, a street legal but serious off-road dune buggy that used a Volkswagen chassis, engine, transmission and suspension, was a rugged little open air fiberglass blast of fun. The Meyers Manx 2.0 Electric will have no Volkswagen bits and pieces, but will be every bit as much fun plus be as modern as other electric vehicles on the road. And should also retain the blast to drive DNA.
